My passion for this work began as a child when I learned about my own birth story. My mother was a home birth advocate who taught me that birth, more often than not, is a normal event to not be in fear of. I hope to help others find a deep connection to their pregnancy, birth, and their own birth story. I obtained my Bachelors of Science & Midwifery through Midwives College of Utah where I also worked in tangent with local midwives via direct apprenticeship to obtain my degree and gain clinical experience. I am a collaborating provider with West Michigan Midwifery, working within a collective to help expand care throughout West Michigan. I believe there can be a beautiful balance between honoring cultural tradition, personal experience, intuition and evidence within the birth continuum. When I am not serving families, I enjoy playing in the waves of Lake Michigan, hiking, crafting and spending time with my husband & dog.
